An entirely new and greatly expanded tech tree, with almost 3000 technologies. Research costs have been adjusted to allow for more canonical rate of progression. Tech names have been adjusted to fit more into the spirit of Star Trek. The entire tech tree has more inter-dependencies, focusing on ‘breakthrough’ technologies that will allow you to reach new heights. We have added species-specific technology options as well as new concept of specialization – giving player choices and forcing them to make difficult choices. Do you prefer to focus on accurate Photon Torpedoes or devastating Quantum Torpedoes? Do you prefer strong shields or those that are quick to regenerate themselves? The choice is yours.
