Nov 08, 2016  If you are given the responsibility to set up an internal audit, with all that is required – that wouldn’t look like a simple job. But, it doesn’t need to be complicated, either. First of all, ISO 20000 has clear requirements for the internal audit, and, secondly, an internal audit checklist can make the internal audit much easier.


Definition:The Capacity Plan is used to manage the resources required to deliver IT services. The plan contains scenarios for different predictions of business demand, and options with cost estimates to deliver the agreed service level targets.

  2. Likely impact on service/ resource capacity and performance
  3. Proposed measures to cope with extra demand for IT services and resources
    1. Medium- to long-term proposals
    2. Short-term measures (details on ongoing measures or proposals entering the concrete planning phase are included in section 5 of this template)

Known business volume forecasts

  1. Affected service(s)
  2. Type of business volume
  3. Likely impact on service/ resource capacity and performance
  4. Proposed measures to cope with extra demand for IT services and resources
    1. Medium- to long-term proposals
    2. Short-term measures (details on ongoing initiatives or proposals entering the concrete planning phase are included in section 5)

The second part of the Capacity Plan includes details an all service levels monitored by Capacity Management.
